Shoe Grinding and Finishing.
We favor the Baldor grinders for most of the horseshoe grinding work as the longevity and reliability just take such a lot of beating. Definitely not the cheapest electric motor but worth the investment.
Jet have also given good service and you will see some of those featured here for your reliable use at a little less expense.
The Expander wheel is a great tool but we have the Multi-Tool attachment for those who like a belt grinder / sander.
Variety of belts and a special disc for inside the heel return.
All this is a lot easier than hot rasping, if anyone can still remember doing all that stuff on a regular basis.

Use Arc sanding discs on either side of this aluminum disc, for easy grinding of heel returns, etc.
