With just about everything on this web site we try to give really good value. G.E.is the only major supplier of farrier tools and supplies that will not sell directly to Farriers Depot. Seeing as we have to buy through a wholesaler and have a second shipping cost plus their margin added, we have two options. One is sell at a price to match or be lower than other suppliers, which we have done for 12 years. This leaves us with not enough margin to cover our overheads. The other is that we put a proper working margin on the GE line, that makes us look expensive.
As farriers, horseshoers and trimmers, you have to work for profit and as suppliers, Farriers Depot has to work for profit. We are tired of subsidizing the products of GE and now offer their line of goods at a price that reflects the cost to us. If these prices are too high for you to swallow I understand.
We do have other excellent brands including 'GOOD" nippers that have become by far the best selling nipper that we have ever sold. They are high quality and feel comfortable as well as doing the job efficiently. Please check them out along with the GOOD knives and other products.
