Butch has been shoeing horses since 1993 and began making farrier tools in 2004. In 2001, Butch completed the requirements for Certified Farrier (CF) with the American Farriers Association (AFA). In 2003, Butch completed the necessary criteria and received his Certified Journeyman Farrier status (CJF).
As a member of the VHA, Butch has had the opportunity to attend numerous VHA sponsored educational clinics and seminars. Butch has expanded his knowledge of farriery and tool making by attending clinics, forging contests, seminars, and conventions. Butch has also had the privilege to work alongside other talented farriers and has learned from those experiences.
Butch began produced a line of farrier tools for his everyday use and in 2004 established Bulldog Tools. |
